Whatsapp is working on a feature called channel notifier for Android app. As reported by WAbetainfo, this feature allows WhatsApp users to choose to receive notifications when channels are available. And it will be available in future update of whatsapp.
If a user wants to get notification of channel availability then can click on “notify me” button. As a result, WhatsApp will add all those users to a waiting list and they will get a notification when a channel becomes available.
A few days ago, WhatsApp announced Channel Features, which is going to be a new way broadcast personal tool. With the help of this feature you can get important updates from your individual and organizations.
Whatsapp has selected some specific countries to roll out this most important feature. It is currently available in Singapore and Colombia and is expected to be released in other countries soon.
The feature to choose the Notify option after channel availability is still under development and will be available for beta testers in the next update.
