WAbetainfo reports that this update is available to some beta testers who have installed Android beta version 2.23.14.19 and iOS beta version 23.14.0.70 update.
These features allow users to make their phone numbers visible or not to other members of the community.
As a result, your whatsapp number will be available only to the group admin and person in the contact list on your device. And your phone number will not be visible to other members of that community or group.
So it is expected that these new privacy features of WhatsApp will be useful to many users, and they will also find a new interest in using WhatsApp.
