Whatsapp is rolling out a new feature where whatsapp users will be able to use whatsapp web using their phone numbers.
In the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.14.18 update WhatsApp announced a feature whatsapp link with phone number. With the help of these features, you can link your WhatsApp account to WhatsApp Web using your phone number.
Earlier, we used QR code scanning to use our WhatsApp account on WhatsApp web. But after this new update, you will get one more extra option to link your WhatsApp account to WhatsApp Web.
When you open whatsapp web, then you will see a new option link with a phone number, where you can use your WhatsApp account on whatsapp web by inputting your phone number and a verification code.
“Whatsapp link with phone number” this feature can be convenient for many users. For example, if a user cannot access the camera of his device or faces any problem in scanning the QR code, or if the user’s internet browser cannot generate the QR code, these features will come in handy.
But you should know that currently, this feature only works with WhatsApp web and does not allow linking a WhatsApp account to a secondary mobile device using a phone number only.
How to use whatsapp link with a phone number feature
- Open the internet browser from your computer or pc.
- Visit web.whatsapp.com
- Tap on the link with the phone number.
- Enter the phone number of your WhatsApp account.
- Enter the verification code. And you are done.
