Recently the company announced two major avatar-related updates for Android and iOS devices.
In the first improvement, you can directly create an avatar by taking a photo, and it will be automatically processed. And the second improvement is that you can configure the avatar directly from whatsapp settings.
Not only this, in Android beta 2.23.15.6, whatsapp has introduced an animated avatar pack which will be available in future updates.

As a result, users can share their expressions through Avatar to get a different level of chat experience.
