WhatsApp is rolling out multi-account features which have been made available to some beta testers. Where users can use multiple accounts within one WhatsApp application. And each account will have different chats and notifications.
WAbetainfo shared in a report that Google Play beta update for Android 2.23.17.8 has made these features available to some lucky beta testers.

A screenshot has been shared showing that a dropdown can also be seen right next to the QR code scanning icon in your account section.
Clicking on it will open a pop-up window from below where you can see Add account options.
After adding more than one account to WhatsApp, you can switch from one account to another by following the same procedure and the account will remain on your device until you log out.
