Whatsapp has announced in its new WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.17.22 update that poll features are being added for community groups. And that is currently available to some beta testers.
Famous website WAbetainfo has reported that WhatsApp is working on poll features for community groups.
Earlier these features were not available for community groups. Because if someone voted in the poll shared in that group, his phone number was exposed.
But now WhatsApp is thinking about the privacy of this phone number and is launching the upgraded poll features again for the community group.

WAbetainfo has shared a screenshot showing that community group admin can create polls and share them within their community, which is currently available to some Beta testers.
You can check if this feature is available in your community group by clicking on the Chat Sharing menu and selecting Polls.
But one thing you must remember is that this feature is kept within some specific size of the community group.
According to WAbetainfo, this feature is available in community groups with less than 1024 participants. However, this limitation is expected to be removed in the future.
Adding these new features gives community admins another new tool to engage with their members.
Community admins can use these poll features to make decisions by asking questions.
And like before, the phone number will not be exposed if anyone votes in the polls because it will be hidden by default.
These features have been made available to some beta testers who are using the latest version of WhatsApp beta for iOS.
