Tech giant Google is about to launch a new service in India where you can get earthquake alerts through your Android smartphone.
This system has been developed with the help of the National Disaster Management Authority and the Ministry of Earth Sciences.
With this system, users will get an alert on their phone if there are any signs of an earthquake.
Google said that these features will be available in the next few weeks. Those who are using the Android 5 or above version will be eligible for this system.
The system will work through the accelerometer in the Android smartphone which will work like a mini seismometer.
Google said in a report that if a smartphone is plugged in and charging, it can detect moments before an earthquake.
Google Earth Quick Alert for Android phones has been launched already in many other countries.
