The new Himalayan is an evolution from the previous gen. The bike features a rugged design with a muscular fuel tank and a beak-like front fender.
The new Himalayan gets a 43 mm USD fork at the front with 200 mm travel, paired with a pre-load adjustable mono-shock at the back with 200 mm travel.
The new Himalayan is equipped with a 17-litre fuel tank. And the weight of 196 kg. There is a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, shod on dual-purpose tyres.
The new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is powered by a newly developed 452 cc liquid-cooled DOHC single-cylinder engine..
Which can produce 39.5 hp of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm.
The engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission with an assist & slipper clutch. Which makes the Royal Enfield's most advanced engine yet.
For the Braking system, there are 320 mm discs up front and a 270 mm disc at the back.
The price for the new Himalayan 450 is expected to start from Rs 2.8 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India).
