Japanese manufacturer Yamaha has not launched any high-capacity bikes in India. But in 2024 is going to launch some premium bikes to compete in the market.
After the launch of Yamaha MT-03 and R3, the brand may launch high-end bikes in India.
In 2024 Yamaha is going to launch some premium bikes in India like Yamaha R7, MT-07 and MT-09 as confirmed at the dealership event.
Both the Yamaha MT-07 streetfighter and R7 supersport bikes will be powered by a 689cc liquid-cooled in-line twin engine capable of generating 73.4PS of power at 8750rpm and 67Nm of torque at 6500rpm.
The Yamaha MT-09 will be powered by a 998cc, liquid-cooled in-line 4 engine that is capable of generating 166hp at 11500rpm and 112Nm of torque at 9000rpm.
The expected price of Yamaha MT-07 is 8-9 lakhs which will compete with Kawasaki Z650, Honda CB650R, and Triumph Trident 660 after launch.
The expected price of the Yamaha R7 will be 9-10 lakhs. It will compete with the Honda CBR650R, Kawasaki Ninja 650, and the upcoming Triumph Daytona 660 when it hits the market.
The Yamaha MT-09 is expected to be priced at Rs 13 lakh which will compete with Ducati Monster, Kawasaki Z900, Triumph Street Triple RS, and BMW F 900 R when it hits the market.
