Instagram is about to add a new feature channel broadcasting. Where creators can share text, photos, and videos with their followers. Meta announced the features of Instagram’s new broadcast channel on June 15. And the announcement also highlighted some channels based in India.

According to the company, creators will be able to share text, photos, and videos with their followers through these channel features. Also, creators can share behind the scene moments and use voice notes to share the latest updates.
Moreover, by creating polls, creators can also get ideas about the opinions of followers.
Once a creator gets permission to access the broadcast channel, they can send their first message to their followers from the Instagram inbox.
And their followers will get a one-time notification to join the channel. But you also need to keep in mind that only those who join the channel will get a notification of any update in the channel.
Followers will have the flexibility to leave the channel and manage channel notifications as well.
Three options will be available to manage channel notifications: some, all, and none. And the By Default Some option will be selected.
Meta also states that creators can use a “Join Channel” sticker on their Stories to get their followers to join the channel or share the channel link on their profile.
Moreover, Meta also shares some upcoming features. For example, a creator can invite other creators or fans to work collaboratively on their broadcast channel.
These features are still in the early testing phase and are not yet available in India. Maybe it will soon be available to other creators।
