Finally, you can directly download your favourite reels on Instagram. Instagram is working on this feature and has started in the United States.

Instagram will now allow users to save their favourite Reels directly to the device. These features have long been available on Instagram’s competitor TikTok.

If we liked any Instagram reels and wanted to save them on our device for offline viewing, we had to take help from another third-party website or application.

But according to a report, Instagram head Adam Mosseri has announced that Instagram has started rolling out the direct reels download feature in the United States.

He also said that this is only applicable for public accounts and the creator can control these downloading features.

But the report is not clear whether this downloading option will be available for all devices. Maybe this feature will be allowed only for those who will use the app and not for those who will use Instagram in the browser.

The report states that “In the US we are rolling out the ability to download reels by public accounts to your camera roll. Just tap the share icon on a reel you love and select download. Reels shared by private accounts cannot be downloaded and public accounts can turn off the ability for people to download their reels in account settings.”

How to download Instagram Reel without any third-party apps or websites

  1. Find the reels that you love.
  2. Now tap on the share icon.
  3. Now select the download option and the reels will save directly to your camera roll.

You should remember that these features are now only available in the United States and only Reels of the public account can be downloaded.
